Shall We Dance? Come Dance Like the Stars!
The Granbury Chamber of Commerce announces “Shall We Dance?” event set for Saturday, July 6, 2013 as the finale to the 4th of July Celebration.
“Shall We Dance?” is back by popular demand so grab your attire and head to the Granbury Resort Conference Center at 8 p.m. to enjoy 40’s music by the Langdon Center’s Big Band. Music from 50’s – 90’s will also be played for your enjoyment. Wear what you please, high-heels to bobby socks. Shall We Dance Studio and Langdon Big Band will provide a variety of entertainment that all can dance to, including, the Tango, Cha-Cha, Jive, Jitterbug, Waltz, Top-Forty, Swing and the two-step! Come early for free dance instruction and stay for a dance performance by Shall We Dance Studio. Tickets are $20 and available at the Chamber of Commerce. Come dance like the stars!
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Langdon Center Big Band Scholarship Fund.
As a reminder, the Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration will kick off on Thursday, July 4th with the Hometown Parade at 10 a.m. The family of Sergeant 1st Class Riley G. Stephens is Grand Marshal this year. The Ranch Rodeo at the Reunion Grounds kicks off at 6 p.m. followed by the Fabulous Fireworks show at dusk over Lake Granbury. This show has been ranked in the top ten in the SW United States. D&D Rockin’ Rod Car Show will be at Mike Brown Hyundai on Hwy. 377 on Friday, July 5th from 7-11 p.m.
An outdoor concert starts at 9:30 p.m. on Friday with our favorite, Brady Hulsey Band, performing until 11 p.m. on Crockett Street. Vendors will be open until 11 p.m. for your shopping and eating enjoyment.
