Granbury High school graduating seniors have an opportunity to apply for a variety of college scholarships offered by local businesses, service clubs, associations, and other organizations. Andrews Named Finalist for Basketball Hall of Fame

Leta Andrews, retired coach of the Lady Pirate basketball team at Granbury High School, was named a finalist for induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.  The announcement was made during the NBA All-Star Weekend on February 14, 2015. In their first concert of the year, the Tarleton State University Jazz Ensembles will feature the music of two composers, Maria Schneider and Fred Sturm. Weatherford College Biology Students Get Their Hands Dirty

Jennifer Miller, Biology instructor at the Weatherford College Education Center at Granbury, recently provided a hands-on lab experience for her environmental biology students with a visit to Jennifer Bauer-Krueger’s local goat ranch. Hundreds of Granbury students and parents had an opportunity to visit with university recruiters at the Granbury High School college and career fair on January 29, 2015. Groundbreaking Event - Miracle League of Granbury

A groundbreaking event was held on January 28th for the Miracle League of Granbury, a not-for-profit baseball league for handicapped and disabled children and young adults. Several ambassadors and board of directors members were on hand to welcome the newest addition to the Chamber. Lopez Signs with Cisco Junior College
