School Board Trustees Hear Report on GHS Construction

The Granbury ISD Board of Trustees heard a report on bond construction at Granbury High School during its regular monthly meeting on March 23, 2015. Scott Barnes, construction manager for the Buford Thompson Company, reported that construction was going well despite weather delays from recent snow days and rain. Ribbon Cutting Event for United Cooperative Services

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on March 17th for the newly remodeled Hood County office on Fall Creek Highway. The previous office had been in use since 1987. The newly redesigned facility measures over 19,000 square feet and includes a new community room, an expanded warehouse, and a new vehicle maintenance are. Ribbon Cutting Event for Moncrief Cancer Institute

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on March 17th for Moncrief Cancer Institute at the Granbury Resort Conference Center. Moncrief is celebrating thei addition of their new Mobile Medical Unit. This 18-wheeler set up will provide survivorship services for those diagnosed with cancer. It is the only one of its kind in the U.S. and will make trips to Granbury twice monthly to provide the following services: nutrition, exercise, counseling, and cancer screenings. Howard Retiring as Human Resources Director

Granbury ISD human resources director Tom Howard has announced his retirement effective in August 2015. Five Pirates Named Basketball Standouts
