Optimists Support Hood County Schoolchildren

GHS to Hold Summer Graduation on August 16

Granbury High School will hold summer graduation exercises on Friday, August 16, 2013.  The ceremony will begin at 6:00 P.M. in the Bagby-McMahan Performing Arts Center. The graduation is being held to confer diplomas to students who either completed coursework requirements during summer school or satisfactorily passed all portions of the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS), which is the state-mandated test required to receive a high school diploma. The Chamber is pleased to welcome Pat Hudson and Tammie Hines to the Chamber staff. Pat joined the Chamber three months ago as Information Specialist when Donna Denman retired. New Head Coaches to Lead Athletic Teams

Three new head coaches will be leading Granbury High School athletic teams beginning in the 2013-14 school year. Granbury Cloggers Perform July 4th

The Chamber is proud to announce the Granbury Cloggers will perform on July 4th at 9 a.m. in front of Granbury Live at the square.  This talented group of ladies perform for various organizations in our community and have been a part of the Old Fashion 4th of July Celebration since the 80's.   

Yellow Ribbon

In memory of Sergeant Lance McLean, the Chamber would like to encourage all parade entries to tie a yellow ribbon on their antenna (or other part of vehicle) to display during the parade on July 4th.   

Loop 567 Ribbon Cutting Cancelled

The ribbon cutting for Loop 567 has been cancelled so as not to conflict with the funeral service for Hood County Sheriff's Deputy, Sergeant Lance McLean.  The funeral is set for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the high school football field in Hico, Texas.  Loop 567 will open on Tuesday, July 2nd by noon.
