New Head Coaches to Lead Athletic Teams

Three new head coaches will be leading Granbury High School athletic teams beginning in the 2013-14 school year. Art Auction and Big Band Dance - Celebrate the 4th!

The 4th of July is finally upon us!  Join us this week for wonderful art from the Rogue Art 4 in the Gordon House Gallery open daily.  The lawn is a great place to watch the fireworks so bring a blanket and picnic Thursday night for the fabulous fireworks display over the the lake. Granbury Cloggers Perform July 4th

The Chamber is proud to announce the Granbury Cloggers will perform on July 4th at 9 a.m. in front of Granbury Live at the square.  This talented group of ladies perform for various organizations in our community and have been a part of the Old Fashion 4th of July Celebration since the 80's.   

Yellow Ribbon

In memory of Sergeant Lance McLean, the Chamber would like to encourage all parade entries to tie a yellow ribbon on their antenna (or other part of vehicle) to display during the parade on July 4th.   

Loop 567 Ribbon Cutting Cancelled

The ribbon cutting for Loop 567 has been cancelled so as not to conflict with the funeral service for Hood County Sheriff's Deputy, Sergeant Lance McLean.  The funeral is set for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the high school football field in Hico, Texas.  Loop 567 will open on Tuesday, July 2nd by noon.

Patriotic Music Provided by 1420 AM

KPIR Radio Station  - 1420 AM - is back in operation under new ownership.  They have offered to play patriotic music over the air during the Fireworks show on Thursday, July 4th starting at 9:45 p.m.  This is a great addition to the celebration.  Wendy's is sponsoring this part of the event.  Hope you can tune in and enjoy!

Chamber Luncheon - June 21, 2013

The Chamber held their luncheon on June 21st at Harbor Lakes Golf & Swim club.  A Silver Ally plaque was presented to Christina Smith from Lakeside Apartments.  Guest speaker was Lyndy Phillips, humorist, comedic magician and speaker (pictured here).  Sponsors for the luncheon were Tarleton State University and Universal Hospice.  Thanks to our sponsors and to everyone attending.  The next Chamber luncheon is set for August 16th at Pecan Plantation....
