Granbury ISD School Board Holds Monthly Meeting

 The Granbury ISD Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting on February 10, 2014. The board reviewed budget assumptions and a general calendar for development of the 2014-15 budget. Granbury Schools to Dismiss Early on Friday, February 14

Schools in Granbury ISD will dismiss classes early on Friday, February 14, 2014, which is the last day of the fourth six weeks grading period.  Teachers and staff will have professional development following the student release.  Elementary and intermediate campuses will dismiss at 11:45 A.M.  The middle schools, Crossland Ninth Grade Center, and Granbury High School will dismiss at 1:00 P.M.  Buses will transport students home early based on this schedule. A Chamber Ribbon Cutting ceremony was held to welcome Ketzler's Schnitzel Haus and Biergarten on February 4th located at 101 East Pearl Street. Granbury High School To Compete In New Class 5A

Granbury High School is moving up to Class 5A for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 school years.  The classification was made as part of the biennial reclassification and realignment of schools by the University Interscholastic League, a division of the University of Texas at Austin that oversees school extracurricular activities.  The UIL made the announcement on February 3, 2014.
