School Board Canvasses Election Returns

The Granbury ISD Board of Trustees held a special meeting on November 13, 2013, to canvass the results from the November 2013 bond and trustee elections. School Trustees Approve Land Sale for County REC Center

The Granbury ISD Board of Trustees approved the sale of land across from Acton Middle School to Hood County for a new recreational center during a special meeting on November 8, 2013.  The center will also have a natatorium to be used by the Granbury High School swim team. The board approved an amended real estate contract to sell the land to the county for $175,000.  The amount equals the value of the land as determined by an independent appraiser. Colten Bison, a Granbury High School junior and state president of the Texas 4-H Council, addressed the Central Texas County Judges and Commissioners Conference on November 6, 2013, in Waco. GMS Students Honor Veterans

Granbury Middle School students showed their appreciation for the sacrifices of U.S. armed forces veterans during an early commemoration of Veterans Day on November 4, 2013.
