Ribbon Cutting/Dedication Ceremoney for Brady Fountain

A ribbon cutting/dedication ceremony was held for The Brady Fountain, located at Shanley Park on September 27.  The fountain is named after the late Bob Brady.  His wife, Nancy, said her late husband enjoyed doing community projects and also loved entertaining children as a Shriner clown.  The Beautification Council paid for the fountain with funds raised through its annual Jewel Ball. Fountain work was done by Jackie Smith at Absolute Accents, Inc. 

Member Link Breakfast - 9-24-2013

The chamber's Member Link Breakfast was held on September 24 at the Granbury Resort and Conference Center.  Dr. James Largent, GISD Superintendent, gave an overview of the School Bond proposal.  The sponsor for the event was Hood County Retired School Personnel. Spanish Students Coming to Granbury

Eleven students from Spain will be in Granbury for a two-week cultural exchange on October 3-16, 2013. The students are juniors and seniors at Instituto de Educación Secundaria Ies Ramón Areces in Grado, a city in northern Spain in the Principality of Asturias.  They will be accompanied by two teachers, and the students will live with host families and shadow Granbury High School students during classes and extracurricular activities.
