Granbury ISD will be holding free clinics at Acton Middle School and Granbury Middle School on Thursday, August 22, 2013, for any GISD student who needs state-required immunizations for the upcoming school year. The clinics will be held during schedule pickup for seventh and eighth grade students at AMS and GMS that day from 12:00-2:00 P.M. and 4:00-6:00 P.M. The Cowboy Capital Rollergirls are having a new recruit practice night at the Granbury Skating Rink on Monday, August 19 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. This will be geared to basic skills for our newest skaters and also a great opportunity for others to come watch and see what it takes to be a rollergirl! In preparation of the tornado relief benefit at Texas Rangers Ballpark on August 20, Texas Rangers staff hosted interviews with tornado victims and visited the site today. Plan to watch and participate in the live, online auction during the game! A Ribbon Cutting and 40 Year Celebration event for the Granbury VFW Post #7835 was held on Saturday, July 27. A total remodel of the front of the Post was completed just in time for the celebration, as was a new addition to the building.
