Veterans Day Ceremony - Pecan Plantation

Chamber CEO and retired Navy Captain, Mike Scott was the featured speaker at last week’s Veterans Day ceremony at Pecan Plantation. The GISD MJROTC also participated in the ceremony and flyover outside, as well as the Presentation of Colors at breakfast. The Judge and Jury performed a medley of service and patriotic songs to an audience of 160.

A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held for the new business - The Bridge on Granbury Square on November 14th located at 113 E. School Counselors Honor Tewell and Loftin

Leslie Tewell, principal at Nettie Baccus Elementary School, and DD Loftin, counselor at Acton Middle School, received high honors from the Texas School Counselor Association during an awards luncheon at the Texas Counseling Association’s Growth Conference on November 13, 2014, in Dallas. Bond Steering Committee Reviews GISD Construction Progress
